BALD EAGLE
CONUMA RIVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA
Bald Eagles are one of the iconic birds of the West Coast. They are present throughout the year, but the best time to see them is in the fall, when the salmon are running. With such an abundance of food in the rivers, every Eagle in the region is drawn to their banks.

The Eagle in this picture is taking a bath in the Conuma River, after eating a salmon carcass plucked from its shore.
